Public Rally against High Rise Development - Monday 18th February

Do you want multi-storey apartment blocks of up to 10 storeys, and possibly higher, encircling the parklands along Greenhill and Fullarton Roads and Dequetteville Terrace, along Linear Park and The Parade?

In response to concerns about the government’s proposal to impose high rise development along Greenhill and Fullarton Roads, Burnside Residents’ Group has organised a protest rally.

Burnside Residents have invited all concerned inner suburban residents from all residents’ groups to join their protest. It is important that the Government and all members of Parliament are made aware that we don’t want our suburbs to be blighted by multi-storey development and all the problems that are associated with such development such as overshadowing and loss of solar access; overlooking, traffic and parking problems; safety issues and completely change the social fabric of our leafy low density residential areas.

We demand sensitive development! We demand creative development! We demand consultative development. And most importantly we demand development that places people at its centre.

We want to retain the heritage of Adelaide.

Help show the Government these plans must STOP!

Attend the rally at Parliament House

Monday, 18 February, 2-3pm

Kensington residents are urged to join the rally to show our opposition to destruction of Adelaide’s character. Make a placard opposing high rise development.
