Kensington Day of Garage Sales – Register Now

If you haven’t registered for our 2016 Day of Garage Sales on Saturday 24th September, it is not too late but you need to act now so that you don’t miss out on the opportunity to participate. Please download the form provided and return it to the KRA.

By concentrating a number of garage sales across Kensington on the day we attract hundred of interested buyers. It has become a well know event and buyers come from all over the metropolitan area. We make it easy for you. Simply, register. We provide advertising the week before and on the day, and through our posters.

On the day we provide you with a poster for your home. We hand out maps with details of each garage sale and post the details on our website. Most importantly, we protect our sellers from early morning callers by not handing out maps before 8:00am.

You have the option of holding a garage sale at your home at a cost of $15 or if you only have a few items to sell and want to join others in Pioneer Park, you may have your own table in the park for only $5.

If you have a few unwanted items and you don’t want to bother with your own sale, you may donate them to the Girl Guides who will be set up in Pioneer Park. Email us if you have such items.

We also welcome participants who would like to sell food and drinks during the morning.

To register, simply complete the registration form in the latest newsletter or download here and return to our Secretary together with the required payment.

Please note that to end the day, the Kensington Hotel is hosting a happy hour from 5-6pm, with special priced drinks and nibbles. It is likely that some members will stay on for dinner at the hotel.
