Have you seen the Benson Fountain on the corner of High Street and Portrush Road recently?

This treasured historic feature of Kensington has recently been restored by the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters Buildings & Special Projects team. The fountain’s main structure, cartouches, shields, surrounds, handrails, handrail posts, gold ornaments and raised metal letters have all been carefully repainted. It looks magnificent!

Check out these photos taken by KRA Secretary Andrew Dyson and be sure to visit this refreshed – and refreshing – piece of Kensington history soon.

Take your sunglasses – it’s truly dazzling!
