Six local households are currently propagating Myoporum parvifolium or Creeping Boobialla from cuttings. In June-July 2024 we’ll put the young plants into the ground in Borthwick Park.
These creepers are relatively easy to grow from stem cuttings and are a great asset to our local biodiversity. They spread quickly, provide refuge and food for insects, lizards and other small critters, keep the soil cooler and outcompete weeds.
Nadia, Otis and Arlo have had success with their baby creepers despite a tricky growing season – good work, green thumbs!
