Local children’s book author/illustrator Doriano kindly agreed to decorate the third ‘branch’ of the Kensington Street Library network. What a beautiful job he’s done! Thanks Dori.
Click here to learn more about Dori and his mate Steve’s beaut locally produced children’s books including The Camel on a Bicycle (English and Chinese language versions available).
We’ll let you know when the library is installed and ready for community book swapping. In the meantime, you can visit Kensington Street Libraries in the garden at Surreal Hair, 324 The Parade, and in the Borthwick Park shelter.
Our thanks to the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters (NPSP) for the community grant funding used to purchase 2 Street Library flat-packs for construction, decoration and installation by local volunteers. The NPSP Community Funding Program provides financial assistance of up to $5,000 per financial year for new community-led initiatives. The next round of grant applications is open now! What would YOU like to make happen in our local area that just needs some funding to make it a reality? Click here for more information on the NPSP Community Funding Program. Applications close on Monday 8th April.
